Out of Tune is a sci-fi satire that highlights the absurdities of climate politics and corporate greed.
Linda Pumpernickel is a lonely, retired teacher whose only excitement comes from singing in a choir for senior citizens—well, that and her exceedingly odd daydreams. Her world is turned upside down when she blows into a broken pitch pipe and inadvertently summons an alien environmentalist, who reveals the truth about universal detuning: scientists predict that shifting soundwave frequencies will destabilize planetary orbits, triggering widespread chaos and destruction.
Fueled by a good cup of tea and a new sense of purpose, Linda embarks on a mission to help her extraterrestrial friend prevent a cosmic climate catastrophe. The only thing standing in their way is the grotesque and greedy CEO of the Intergalactic Trade Corporation, who will stop at nothing to silence scientists and spread misinformation about universal detuning to protect his astronomically profitable business.
Bizarre aliens, peculiar planets, and intergalactic corporate greed await Linda on a journey through space, time, and late-stage capitalism.
