About the Author
D.C. Greschner leads multiple lives as a high school science teacher, musical theatre performer, and science fiction writer in Victoria, BC. She has always been creative and involved in storytelling, from her days as a child clacking out stories on her mother’s old-school typewriter and writing parodies of almost every single Backstreet Boys song, to composing a musical about werewolves. In her ever fleeting free time, she often finds herself getting lost in the forest, playing controversial sports like pickleball, and serving her feline overlords.

She has combined her love of both science and music to create her delightfully quirky and imaginative debut novel, Out of Tune. Greschner had a grand old time creating weird and wonderful new worlds with all sorts of social, political, and environmental issues that parallel our own. As a biology teacher, she perhaps had the most fun dreaming up alien species with absurd anatomies and physiologies, and went so far as to include an entire multi-stage, polymorphic life cycle diagram. She spent countless hours cackling away at her laptop as her zany ideas came to fruition. She hopes her readers will have just as much fun reading Out of Tune as she had writing it.
